On this day in 1997, 1997 — the IPO price for Amazon stock was $18 per share, Trading opened at $27 and closed at $23.50. A first day rise of 33%, which was low by the standards set by most IPO tech companies during the 90’s.

“The asymmetry of warfare is writ large in the current Gaza conflict. This all comes at an interesting time as PM Netanyahu is currently out of the negotiation cycle to form a new government but clearly such attacks by the PLO seem to reinforce support for the hawkish Bibi…their seemingly mortal enemy. Food for thought.”
