IN BIGWORLD
From Exchange Invest 3197: February 14th:
Youtube was originally founded today in 2005. Video upload was integrated on April 23rd 2005 with the slogan “tune in, hook up.”
The original concept of Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim was an online dating site.
This failed but the video uploading platform was exceptionally robust.
Then Janet Jackson’s clothes fell off during the half time show for the Superbowl and yet…and yet, it wasn’t on the internet (those were the days…).
Sensing an opportunity…the rest is history. Youtube was sold to Google on October 9th 2006 for $1.65 billion in stock (completing November 13).

BITCARNAGE
El Salvador Diminished?
The home of many dubious crypto bros in Latin America has taken a step away from BTC being its currency even as it intends to buy more crypto : El Salvador Is Still Bitcoin Country (ZeroHedge). That’s rather a blow for the bros and remarkably one which has not been better highlighted by the crypto media… clearly the IMF has made an impact.
If you enjoyed this excerpt you may be interested to know that you can read Bitcarnage every day in Exchange Invest.

As always, a review of interesting reading to provoke thoughts and consideration… Not sure we agree with much of it….but it’s thought-provoking!
